NEET 2017

NEET Application Form, Exam Dates, Exam Pattern and Syllabus:  NEET exam will be conducted for offering admissions into MBBS/BDS courses in India.  All seats in MBBS/BDS in medical and dental colleges will be filled by scores of NEET examination only.  This exam can be written in eight regional languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu.  At the time of filling application form of NEET 2017 the candidates must enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth and gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.  If in case these particulars do not match then the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for NEET 2017.  Therefore the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth and gender as per school records.  If in case there is any mismatch in the details entered, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records.  The application fee can be paid through Paytm also.

NEET Eligibility Criteria:  Check the eligibility criteria which are mentioned below:

  • Nationality: Student should belong to Indian Nationals or OCI
  • Age limit: Minimum – 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.  Maximum – 25 years of age for general category and 30 years of age for reserved category.
  • Qualification: The student need to have cleared of currently appearing class 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board with chemistry, physics, bio-technology/biology or any other elective subject with English.
  • Percentage criteria: Student need to secure at least 50% marks in PCB group for general category candidates, 45% for general PH candidates and 40% for ST/SC/OBC category candidates.

NEET Admit Card 2017:  The admit card will be provided through online mode only. When the admit card is released the students should visit the website and download the NEET admit card 2017.  The admit card will not be sent through post. The admit card is a mandatory document without which no student will be permitted to write the examination.  So, do not forget to carry the admit card to the examination hall.

NEET Counseling:  The counseling would be organized by the Directorate General of Health Service.  The students will be selected according to the marks/score in the NEET examination.  According to their score the students would be given admissions in the colleges.  In the counseling the students have to select the colleges as per their choices.

NEET Result 2017:  The CBSE takes responsibility to conduct NEET exam and evaluate the answer sheet and declare the result.  The results will be declared in the first week of June 2017.  The date of release of results will be updated to the students after it is released.
